Every runner you see here once started at their own version of the beginning—nervous, unsure, or coming back after a break or life event.
Now? They’re finding strength in their routines, confidence in their training, and pride in what their bodies can do.
These are just a few of the amazing women I’ve had the honor of coaching.

SARAH
What was your running like before coaching started?
Non existent! I was never a runner. I only ran for warm ups when on sports teams, and as an adult was more into weight training. I always had it in my mind that “I’m not a runner” or “I hate running”.
What changed once you had a coach in your corner?
Chelsea changed absolutely everything for me. I had seen her posting for months about her running, and the love she had for it. I craved that kind of passion for working out, and how intentional she was being with her running. I could feel Chelsea’s positive energy, and couldn’t help but want that for myself.
So I reached out to Chelsea and asked her some questions about when and how she started running. It very quickly turned into Chelsea creating me a 4 week plan, then another 4 week plan, and then another… Here I am at week 12, consistently running and exercising my body more than I have in at least 6 years.
What would you tell another woman who’s new to running or feels unsure if coaching is for her?
Chelsea is your girl! It brings tears to my eyes with how much I have been learning about myself, the power of running, building and endurance. Chelsea was my missing puzzle piece to creating and sustaining a workout plan that fits for my stage of life. Chelsea’s enthusiasm, motivation, and encouragement have been pivotal in getting started AND continuing.
When I first got started I knew nothing about how far distance was, and what running pace I was. I now can recognize what is .20 miles vs. .50 miles and so on. And I can feel when my body is going too fast, knowing that’s not a sustainable pace for my building. I have become a confident runner because of this base I have been building, that I would have known nothing about if it weren’t for Chelsea.

LAURA
What were you training for or working on together?
A half marathon and then a full marathon
What was your running like before coaching started?
Inconsistent, anxiety filled, lonely, very confusing, frustrating
What changed once you had a coach in your corner?
Having a support system to navigate the really tough days was a game changer. Instead of beating myself up for having to modify or take rest days, I had a Coach who helped me navigate what was best for my body and my goals
What was helpful or meaningful about having a coach?
First off, I really look up to Chelsea for many reasons. Not only is she an experienced runner, she is a veteran and a mother. I believe her experience helps her give the best balance of hard work and discipline packaged in a manner that resonates on days good and bad. She knows what the struggles are like and how to defeat them, and she is the best hype girl and encourager on days I am having a hard time believing in myself. Chelsea is the best at pushing you when you don’t think you can keep going, and providing comfort and guidance when I needed to give myself grace.
What would you tell another woman who’s new to running or feels unsure if coaching is for her?
I would say that for woman and especially mothers and caregivers it is hard to find time to focus on yourself. Chelsea will help you achieve your goals and be your hype girl through any training goals you have. If you are even 1% curious you should give it a try to show up for yourself and become even better for those around you.
